Quality Systems promotes execs

Health IT company Quality Systems has promoted Donn Neufeld, Tim Eggena and Monte Sandler into expanded roles to strengthen its management team.

According to the Irvine, Calif.-based company, Tim Eggena has been named executive vice president of research and development, a role with newly created and expanded responsibilities that includes the overseeing of ambulatory research and development efforts. Since May 2008, Eggena has served as executive vice president of NextGen Practice Solutions, a wholly own subsidiary of Quality Systems, which includes the company’s revenue cycle management division.

Monte Sandler was promoted to assume the newly vacated role of executive vice president of NextGen Practice Solutions. According to Quality Systems, Sandler, with 14 years of RCM experience, will oversee the integration of the NextGen and Quality Systems’ RCM entities.

Additionally, Donn Neufeld, who served as senior vice president and general manager of Quality System's dental unit, was named executive vice president of electronic data interchange (EDI) and dental, for both NextGen and Quality Systems. In this role, Neufeld will continue to oversee the dental business unit as well as head the EDI business unit, the company stated.
