Quest Diagnostics aligns with Allscripts for eprescribing initiative

Quest Diagnostics, a provider of diagnostic testing and information services, will collaborate with Allscripts, a provider of clinical software and information services, for the National ePrescribing Patient Safety Initiative (NEPSI). NEPSI is a joint project for the resolution of preventable medication errors.

The Lindhurst, N.J.-based Quest Diagnostics will provide free electronic laboratory orders and results for physicians who use Allscripts’ free, web-based NEPSI electronic prescribing application, eRx Now. The access will be available later this year.
