RSNA: Merge focuses on mobility

Merge Healthcare (Booth # 4845) is introducing a mobile and internet platform for consumers at RSNA 2012, Nov. 25-30, in Chicago.

The platform allows consumers to select a radiologist, schedule an appointment and receive results electronically. It also will feature a mobile app for referring physicians to send patients to recommended imaging centers, a website for consumers to complete pre-work and schedule appointments, a cloud-based portal for imaging centers to share results with referring physicians and patients and practice analytics. The mobile and internet platform will be available in early 2013.

The Chicago-based company also is showing Merge Honeycomb; which includes cloud-based archiving and image sharing; Merge iConnect interoperability tools, including a viewer, internet gateway and vendor-neutral archive and Merge PACS.
