Simha rejoins Vital as CTO, executive VP

Vital Images, a provider of enterprise-wide advanced visualization and analysis solutions, has named Vikram Simha chief technology officer (CTO) and executive vice president of engineering—the latter of which is a new position.

In the position, the company said that Simha will report to President and CEO Michael H. Carrel.

Carrel said that Simha started “at Vital in the 1990s, and his customer first orientation, make him ideal for Vital.”

From 1998 until June 2008, Simha held software engineering management positions at Mitsubishi and TeraRecon, most recently serving as chief technology officer and senior vice president, 3D engineering, according to the Minneapolis-based Vital.
