UltraRAD releases next-generation DICOM router

Medical image and information management technology developer UltraRAD of West Berlin, N.J., has released the latest iteration of its DICOM router, UltraGateway 3.03.

According to the firm, the upgraded, new version includes enhanced throughput optimization and it processes studies 1.5 times faster than the prior version. It features a DICOM Repair/Quality Control with simple wizards and image preview; DICOM-compliant 128-bit TLS Encryption/Increased JPEG 2000 support; a Web interface or direct console for access from any location and permits simultaneous inbound and outbound DICOM streams.

In other news, the company reported that it recently integrated its UltraGateway DICOM router as part of an infrastructure upgrade for TeamHealth Teleradiology of Knoxville, Tenn.
