vRad updates telerad communication

National teleradiology practice Virtual Radiologic (vRad) has updated its telehealth communication systems to provide more immediate communication between referring practices and its subspecialty radiologists.

The company said the update enables real-time communication between local practices and its reading radiologists. Using MagView’s structured reporting system, vRad’s radiologists are also able to communicate with a practice’s technologists to deliver magnified views for breast cancer imaging. Based in Eden Prairie, Minn., vRad provides subspecialty teleradiology services to small practices as well as facilities experiencing overflows of imaging, with an emphasis on breast imaging, the company stated.
