Welch Allyn features portable ECG, wireless connectivity at Arab Health Congress
Medical equipment manufacturer Welch Allyn will preview a portable electrocardiograph (ECG), as well as showcase medical exam lights and a wireless connectivity module for the Spot Vital Signs LXi at this week's 2010 Arab Health Congress in Dubai, U.A.E.
Welch Allyn's CP 50 ECG is connectivity-ready and scheduled for release later this month in select international markets, according to the Skaneateles Falls, N.Y.-based company.
In addition, Welch Allyn announced it will highlight a new radio that operates on hospitals’ existing wireless systems using 802.11 a/b/g technology. The radio is currently available for the Welch Allyn Spot Vital Signs LXi device which transmits vital signs data to an EHR through the company’s Connex data management software.
The company will also showcase the Welch Allyn Green Series Medical Exam Lights which provide 50,000 hours of life and produce white light with a color temperature of 5,500 degrees K, Welch Allyn announced.
