Agfa nets Impax radiology, cardiology installs

Lee Memorial Health System (LMHS) of Southwest Florida has chosen Agfa HealthCare’s Impax PACS for its radiology department and will expand its current Impax cardiovascular image and information management solution (CVIS) to facilitate an EMR for all patients of the health system.

LMHS performs around 680,000 radiology and cardiology exams, combined, per year, according to Agfa.

The enterprise PACS solutions planned for LMHS will cover all hospital locations and outpatient centers, including physician offices within the health system. Clinicians from any location will have the ability to view all their patients’ images on one review station.  Phase one of the installation is scheduled to begin this December, the company said.
