Philips unveils Hybrid OR

University Hospital Zurich will launch a hybrid OR using Philips’ FlexMove, combining a surgical OR with advanced x-ray imaging.

FlexMove enables the OR x-ray system to be moved and positioned laterally, longitudinally and in lateral stand-by, and is intended for accessible, minimally invasive cardiovascular and interventional procedures, Philips noted.

The install makes University Hospital Zurich the first to furnish the Philips Hybrid OR, with further installations planned in Belgium, Germany, North America and the Republic of Ireland, according to the Eindhoven, Netherlands-based company.
