Foresight introduces fluoro road-mapping system

Foresight Imaging is introducing TIMS Fluoro-TRACE, a system for providing road-mapping for interventional radiology, angiography and vascular surgery applications by PACS connectivity hardware and software, this week at the VEITH symposium in New York City.

The company said its system allows clinicians to electronically draw on a touch-screen with a stylus during fluoroscopy and can also be used as a road-map to guide a catheter or perform an intervention during live, un-subtracted fluoroscopy. As well as road-mapping, the TIMS Fluoro TRACE can be utilized in training physicians, said Worcester, Mass.-based Foresight.

Work completed on the system is saved with the study in DICOM format and sent to any PACS, said the company.
