GE, Hansen Medical coordinate cardiac cath lab technologies

GE Healthcare and Hansen Medical have collaborated to validate compatibility of GE’s Innova cardiovascular imaging systems and Hansen Medical’s robotic navigation technology.

Hansen said its Sensei robotic catheter system is a robotic navigation system that enables clinicians to place mapping catheters in hard-to-reach anatomical locations within the heart during cardiac arrhythmia procedures.

GE’s Innova digital cardiovascular imaging system helps physicians visualize fine vessels, execute electrophysiology procedures, place stents and perform critical maneuvers.
