How hospitals, patients coped after shuttering of Belleville Imaging

Belleveville Imaging lost its mammography license in November 2016 due to reasonings that include falling short of the American College of Radiology (ACR)'s clinical image evaluation critera. 

It took a patient who received two mammograms and an ultrasound at this location to learn her lesson when it came to researching medical services. Although she retook the mammograms and results came out as normal, there were much larger factors like worry and stress that played a part. 

Aside from patients, hospitals in the area such as Memorial Hospital had to step up to the plate and assist patients from Belleville who wanted to retake a mammogram and also to review Belleville's images taken during the two year period ACR reviewed.
