Neoprobe bolsters board

Oncology and cardiovascular surgical and diagnostic product developer Neoprobe has appointed Dr. Owen Johnson to its board of directors. Johnson recently retired as vice president and senior medical director of United HealthCare of Ohio (UHC), a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group, where he was involved in new technology assessment and reimbursement establishment.

Johnson has been appointed to a board term ending at Neoprobe’s annual stockholders’ meeting in 2008, when he is expected to stand for election for another term ending in 2011, according to the Dublin, Ohio-based company.
