RSNA to release three new journals in 2019
Come 2019, RSNA will begin publishing three new subspecialty online journals, according to a recent press release. RSNA members will receive full access to the three new digital journals that will be focused solely on cancer imaging, cardiothoracic imaging and machine learning/ artificial intelligence.
"The new journals will complement Radiology and RadioGraphics and provide a way to keep practicing physicians and imaging researchers up-to-date on the best emerging science in each subspecialty," according to the RSNA press release.
Specifically, the cancer imaging journal will provide research and topical reviews on cancer screening, differential diagnosis and imaging treatment planning. The cardiothoracic imaging journal will promote research advances and technical developments for cardiothoracic imaging and the machine learning/artificial intelligence journal will shed light on emerging technologies and applications across all disciplines of health imaging.
According to RSNA, submissions for each new journal will be accepted starting in 2018; the search for editors for the journals will begin in November 2017.
