ScImage, Carestream extend cardiology information solution development deal

ScImage has expanded its agreement with Carestream Health for a joint research and development initiative to develop a cardiology information solution that Carestream’s sales representatives can begin selling in Europe by mid-2009.

Since October 2007, Carestream has been selling ScImage’s PicomEnterprise solution—with built-in capture and visualization tools—for integration with Carestream information management solutions in the United States and Canada, according to the companies.

The Los Altos, Calf.-based ScImage said its web-based cardiology software solution—PicomEnterprise—enables cardiology departments, outpatient cardiology clinics and private-practice cardiologists to use a single database to manage, distribute and safeguard cardiac information gathered at various points of care.
