TeraRecon, Agfa align to deliver SCCT-compliant review, reporting tools

TeraRecon, a San Mateo, Calif.-based provider of advanced visualization and decision support solutions for medical imaging, and Agfa HealthCare have released the cardiac CT review and reporting solution, which conforms to the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography's (SCCT) published guidelines for cardiac CT interpretation.

TeraRecon's iNtuition cardiovascular advanced visualization tools, combined with Agfa HealthCare's Impax cardiovascular imaging and reporting solution, provides physicians with the cardiac CT image analysis and reporting solution that satisfies requirements and many of the recommendations set forth in these guidelines, the companies said.

The integration of Aquarius iNtuition with Agfa's Impax cardiovascular solution streamlines workflow for non-invasive cardiologists by providing a single solution that automates visualization and reporting," said Michael Green, president & CEO of Agfa HealthCare, North America.

"The integration with Impax cardiovascular will also facilitate the communication between cardiac CT specialists and other clinicians, by making the relevant information available throughout the enterprise," he said.
