Microsoft to integrate Philips SpeechMagic into Amalga HIS, RIS/PACS

Royal Philips Electronics has signed a global licensing agreement with Microsoft to bring speech recognition technology to Microsoft’s Amalga family of enterprise healthcare offerings.

Microsoft will offer Philips Speech Recognition Systems’ SpeechMagic to customers using Microsoft Amalga HIS and Amalga RIS/PACS.

Microsoft Health Solutions Group and Philips said that they will immediately start the process of integrating the technologies.
