Covidien buys CardioDigital patient monitoring technology

Covidien has acquired the technology assets from CardioDigital, a developer of signal processing techniques for patient monitoring. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Portland, Ore.-based CardioDigital’s technology will be integrated into Covidien’s respiratory and monitoring solution’s Nellcor pulse oximetry platform, the company said.

It will be used by Covidien’s respiratory and monitoring solutions business unit, according to the Hamilton, Bermuda-based Covidien.
