Definiens launches image analysis platform

Definiens, an enterprise image intelligence company based in Munich, Germany, has introduced a new multi-dimensional image analysis platform.

Software applications built on Definiens XD extract levels of volumetric and morphological intelligence from digital data, which provide scientists and clinicians with subtle biological changes associated with disease progression and treatment, and the action and safety of new therapies, according to the company.

Definiens said its image analysis platform allows the automated comparison of images from different modalities, in-vivo and in-vitro data, 2D and 3D images over time, and 2D images to 3D structures in a consistent and reproducible manner.
