NeuroLogica to acquire CT perfusion technology from Houston company

NeuroLogica will acquire all technology and assets for Xenon CT Perfusion (XeCT) from Diversified Diagnostic Products in Houston.

The Xenon CT Perfusion technology, developed by Diversified Diagnostic Products will be added to NeuroLogica's portable CT functionality.

The company said its acquisition of the XeCT technology enhances its portable CT capabilities in the emergency room, intensive care unit and operating room, while increasing the company’s competency of providing improved patient safety and care.

Combining portable CT and Xenon CT Perfusion will allow faster and more quantifiable information on cerebral blood flow in patients with a variety of neurological emergencies such as stroke and traumatic brain injury, the Danvers, Mass.-based NeuroLogica said.
