Rimage, Digital Rapids partner for DVD production workflow

Rimage, a provider of on-demand digital publishing systems, and Digital Rapids, a developer of content encoding, transcoding, protection and delivery solutions, have partnered to integrate their solutions into an automated workflow for DVD encoding and production.

Within an automated encoding workflow, DVDs can be produced from a single media file without menus, or from multiple deck-captured media files with an automatically generated menu and chapter marks, Rimage said.

Upon completion of encoding, the resulting media is sent to an attached Rimage Producer III or Rimage Professional Series digital publishing system with automated disc artwork printing.

The Minneapolis-based Rimage said the new integration support will be available in a new version of Digital Rapids' StreamPro and StreamEnterprise software.
