TeraMedica, Caringo partner to deliver content infrastructure

TeraMedica Healthcare Technology has partnered with Caringo, a provider of clustered storage software for active and archive content, to combine TeraMedica's Evercore with CAStor from Caringo to manage, protect and archive digital images and patient information.

Evercore works across heterogeneous clinical systems and CAStor runs on standard, commodity server (x86) platforms, giving customers a choice in the systems and hardware platforms, according to the Milwaukee-based TeraMedica.

“The joint solution delivers an enterprise approach to providing a comprehensive clinical-classification content middleware and storage management model, within the imaging marketplace,” said Jim Prekop, president and CEO of TeraMedica.

The Austin-based CAStor said it delivers a scalable content storage cluster with features needed to meet HIPAA compliance, combining clinical classification and storage management.
