ACR expands its medical imaging education offerings

The American College of Radiology announced the expansion of its medical imaging education offerings to include the International Medical Solutions (IMS) Educational Toolkit. The addition will allow for DICOM viewing and complement resident training projects, CME and other educational programs.

"We found the IMS technology to be a good complement to the ACR Cortex radiology learning platform. Their flexible, cost-effective solution will allow us to provide a rich, interactive viewing experience to hundreds of learners simultaneously over the web," said Mike Tilkin, CIO of ACR, in a news release.

The IMS Educational Toolkit requires no software downloads, apps or server-side rendering and will allow for more efficient and cost-effective radiologist training, the release notes.
