Integration moves radiology image viewing and analysis onto single platform

Radical Imaging, a radiology software company, and Apollo Enterprise Imaging, a health IT vendor focused on data management, are integrating their technology to streamline clinical workflows.

Radical Imaging's FlexView system will integrate into Apollo's Arcc medical imaging platform, providing clinical staff with an easy-to-use image viewing and analysis experience, the companies said in a statement.

Arcc is designed to assist health systems in efficiently organizing and accessing medical images across various departments, improving clinical workflows by consolidating most radiology image viewing into a single interface. FlexView, a cloud-based viewer developed by Radical Imaging, can be customized to fit different workflows and a variety of practice settings.

According to Apollo and Radical Imaging, integration of the FlexView and Arcc took less than one week to complete. FlexView can be easily integrated into most radiology systems, the companies added.

“By integrating FlexView in our Arcc platform, we are able to give our users the visualization tools they need right now, without the distraction of building and maintaining our own medical image viewer. This will allow us to focus on where we can add the most value,” Apollo CEO Mark Newburger said in the statement.

FlexView launched in October, touting support from tech giants Nvidia and the Amazon Web Services cloud.
