Fujifilm Exhibits Suite of Enterprise Imaging Solutions at SIIM
STAMFORD, Conn.—FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc., will present its comprehensive Synapse Enterprise Imaging portfolio at the 2017 Annual Meeting of the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM), a conference that focuses on bridging the transformation to a new era in medicine through enterprise imaging technology. The SIIM 2017 Annual Meeting will be held June 1 – 3, 2017 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and will feature advancements in medical imaging, cutting edge scientific research and enterprise imaging thought leaders.
“Today we are faced with a rapidly changing healthcare dynamic, where speed and precision are vital to practices around the country,” said Bill Lacy, Vice president of Medical Informatics at FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. “Fujifilm’s comprehensive imaging portfolio, including Synapse® 5, one of the fastest medical imaging solutions, helps health organizations stay ahead by improving clinical outcomes, optimizing workflow efficiency, all while realizing cost savings.”
Fujifilm will be showcasing the following solutions at SIIM booth # 201, Hall B:
- Synapse® 5 PACS – As one of the fastest medical imaging solutions in the industry, it offers sub-second delivery of extremely large datasets and its underlying architecture promotes significantly less bandwidth consumption and tighter security. Synapse 5 delivers a server-side, zero-download viewer utilizing a browser-independent desktop experience and a dramatic reduction in bandwidth requirements.
- Synapse® VNA (Vendor Neutral Archive) – Designed to help healthcare providers realize efficiencies and reduce costs, Synapse VNA is the most secure, scalable single storage solution for capturing, storing, managing, and providing access to the complete imaging record. Equipped with advanced life cycle management tools, it offers organizations the ability to secure and enable control of all image data, both DICOM and non-DICOM, across the enterprise that delivers a single, patient-centric view of the patient’s record. Synapse VNA securely integrates more specialties, more devices, and more data than any other VNA in the marketplace.
- Synapse® RIS: A full-featured, workflow management system that is wholly integrated with Synapse PACS, helps radiology departments and outpatient imaging facilities take command of their operations. Inherent advanced tools and features to manage all aspects of the radiology practice. Offers online access for referrers, tools for scheduling and group-based viewing. Built-in analytics track productivity, activity inventory management and dose tracking.
- Synapse® Mobility Enterprise Viewer: Utilizing the latest server-side rendering technology, Synapse® Mobility Enterprise Viewer enables image access securely and quickly to any authorized user. It can be accessed directly via web browsers, launched directly from the EHR, or on Synapse Mobility iOS and Android device applications. It includes a zero-footprint DICOM and non-DICOM image and report viewer for the entire patient record, a unique collaboration feature for DICOM and non-DICOM datasets that uses real time audio/video capabilities for live conferencing, and a new Share feature to exchange images or launch into other 3rd party integrations. With Synapse Mobility Enterprise Viewer, physicians and all clinical users can access patient images from all departments and locations throughout the healthcare enterprise, including at the patient’s bedside, in the reading room, and in their homes.
Also for SIIM attendees, Fujifilm will host a complimentary dinner and educational symposium on the value of Enterprise Imaging. During the educational experience, industry thought leaders will discuss the benefits of server-side rendering and explore the impact of machine learning on the future delivery of patient care. To join Fujifilm for the on June 1, 2017 from 6:15 p.m. -9:30 p.m. at the Heinz History Center, register here: http://siim.fujimed.com/symposium
During the annual meeting, Fujifilm’s Nathan Gurgel will participate as a panelist in the #AskIndustry: Weighing the Options: Enterprise PACS vs. VNA for Enterprise-wide Archiving panel on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. -3:30 p.m. in exhibit hall theater, hall B. The #AskIndustry session will serve as an educational forum, providing attendees with valuable knowledge about the approach of consolidation of image archives in an Enterprise PACS vs. a Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA).
