Pa. hospital chooses DR Systems' CVIS
Armstrong County Memorial Hospital in Kittanning, Pa., has chosen Unity CVIS from DR Systems to meet its cardiology department's CVIS needs.
Unity CVIS is based on DR Systems' Unity RIS/PACS platform and utilizes open standards and technology, according to DR Systems.
The Unity CVIS has a set of workflow-related features for cardiology departments, including numerous options for multi-modality image review and reporting. For instance, the Unity CVIS' patient-centric application enables both cardiologists and administrators to access patient information and images from multiple departments and data sources via one common platform and database. A single platform and database simplify access to data, while also improving patient care, patient safety and departmental efficiency.
The CVIS will give cardiologists access to both cardiology- and radiology-based data and images, according to the San Diego-based company.
Unity CVIS' open architecture and integration capabilities enable healthcare facilities to adapt to evolving healthcare and technology needs and generate comprehensive longitudinal views of patient data. The sytem can integrate images and patient information from disparate sources, meaning cardiologists can view all relevant imaging and non-imaging patient data on a single platform.
Unity CVIS' Management Reports module allows facilities to gather data, generate productivity and usage reports and perform workflow and department analyses.
Its capabilities include:
- Multi-modality support for cardiac and vascular ultrasound, x-ray angiography, coronary CT and MR angiography, nuclear cardiology and electrocardiography;
- Advanced imaging manipulation;
