Radiology workflow specialists announce 3 AI partnerships ahead of November launch

Sirona Medical, a radiology technology company focused on cloud-based workflow software, has expanded its partnerships with artificial intelligence (AI) companies Koios Medical, Rad.ai, and RevealDX. Sirona will serve as the official reseller for all three vendors, according to a prepared statement.

The partnership is part of a larger launch of Sirona's Amplify SDK open-developer platform, which is set to go live in November.

In its statement, Sirona said its cloud service will allow AI to be embedded into radiologist workflows for instant use, aiding image scans and analysis, with Sirona serving as a single point of contact for IT support.

While the three AI platforms in question serve different functions – clinical decision support, automating the clerical work of radiologists, and supporting nuanced cancer diagnosis in radiology reports – Sirona’s aim is to effectively create a subscription-based interoperability standard on its Amplify SDK service, as it will be opening its platform to other vendors who fit into radiology systems and workflows.

Sirona says its service is set to launch on Nov. 13, with demos set for sometime during the Radiology Society of North America (RSNA) conference in Chicago, starting Nov. 26.
