Coalition of imaging practices gains access to advanced AI capabilities

Riverain Technologies has announced a new agreement with Strategic Radiology, an independent coalition of private imaging practices, focused on helping radiologists deliver better interpretations. The agreement provides all of Strategic Radiology's member practices with access to Riverain's ClearRead software solutions.

ClearRead is designed to identify lung diseases in chest CT and x-ray examinations, while also enhancing reading efficiency. ClearRead integrates into the user's PACS workflow, serving as an additional series in the patient study without requiring a separate application viewer.

“Strategic Radiology is pleased to bring ClearRead solutions to our nationwide membership of independent, private radiology practices and affiliated health systems. This partnership is a further step toward making state-of-the-art AI tools available to our member groups in the interest of improving the quality and efficiency of their respective radiology services,” Scott Bundy, MD, CEO and chair of Strategic Radiology, said in a statement

“Riverain Technologies is on a mission to revolutionize radiology by eliminating delayed cardio-thoracic disease diagnoses,” added Steve Worrell, CEO of Riverain Technologies. “When clinicians have an unimpaired view of thoracic images, they can more quickly and precisely detect and report pulmonary nodules, and we are thrilled to introduce Strategic Radiology members to our capabilities.”

This partnership is expected to empower Strategic Radiology’s radiologists and clinicians to provide more accurate and efficient services to patients across the nation. The adoption of ClearRead is also designed to reduce workflow burdens and improve efficiency for healthcare professionals.

As covered in Radiology Business, Strategic Radiology recently expanded its member practices, adding an 80-physician group to its roster. Strategic Radiology now includes a total of 35 privately owned, independent practices representing over 1,500 physicians.
