Tenn. health system pens deals with Carestream

Erlanger Health System has purchased Carestream Health’s Vue RIS and DRX imaging systems and upgraded its Vue PACS.

The Chattanooga, Tenn., health system will deploy Carestream Vue RIS, five Carestream DRX-Revolution mobile x-ray systems, five Carestream DRX-1 systems and an upgrade to its Vue PACS that includes the Vue Motion vendor-neutral image viewer.

The DRX systems purchase was part of the healthcare system’s move from CR to DR technology. Carestream RIS+PACS will be linked with Erlanger’s hospital information system for an integrated workflow. The RIS installation and PACS upgrade is scheduled to begin in early 2013.
