Inconsistent imaging costs 'not fair'
An editorial published by NJBIZ.com explored one of the most common complaints patients have about medical imaging: the wide range of prices for basic services.
Author Tom Bergeron write about what happened recently when he took his daughter to get her hand x-rayed. The bill was for $184, but he found out that another center just a few miles away offered the same service for $26.
“A price of $184 vs. $26 for a basic X-ray,” Bergeron wrote. “That’s not fair. And it’s not right.”
