RadNet acquires 5 imaging centers to expand California footprint

RadNet recently expanded its California footprint by acquiring five imaging centers in the Fresno area, making it the leading non-hospital-based outpatient imaging operator in the region, according to an April 6 release.

The five imaging centers were operated by Sierra Imaging Associated (SIA), Women’s Imaging Specialists in Healthcare (WISH) and Valley Metabolic Imaging (VMI). These new additions are expected to provide an additional $12 million in annual revenue for RadNet.

"We are delighted to complete this significant transaction.  SIA, WISH and VMI are premier operators in the greater Fresno medical community,” said Howard Berger, MD, and chairman and CEO of RadNet. “This transaction transforms RadNet's participation in this market into a leadership position. We welcome the employees of SIA, WISH, VMI and Sierra Imaging Associates Medical Group, who will be our new radiologist group partner in the greater Fresno area."
