'04 a year of growth for PatientKeeper
Mobile computing software vendor PatientKeeper has been awarded 23 new customer contracts in 2004, representing 112 hospitals and a 51 percent growth of its client base. End users range from multi-hospital health systems and academic medical centers to community hospitals and group practices, according to the Brighton, Mass.-based company.
Some of the clients PatientKeeper added in the latter part of the year include: Adventist West, BayCare Health System, Clarian Health, Holtzer Medical Center, MedStar Health (including Washington Hospital Center, Georgetown University Hospital and Franklin Square Hospital Center), Mount Sinai School of Medicine of New York University, Northeast Medical Center Hospital, Palmetto Health, Partners Healthcare (including Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital), Saint Thomas Health Services, Sisters of St. Francis Health System, TriHealth of Ohio and University Physicians Association (affiliated with Tennessee Medical Center).
While PatientKeeper's said a majority of its gains have come from direct business, partners such as Cerner, DrFirst and Park City Solutions made solid contributions to its record growth. New partners include GE Healthcare (announced last week), Cingular Wireless, Epocrates, Lexi-Comp, Skyscape and Sprint.
