A4 installs EDIS at Bon Secours Richmond

Bon Secours Richmond Health System has selected A4 Health Systems' HealthMatics ED Emergency Department Information System (EDIS) to automate emergency care at its three hospitals and new hospital slated to open in 2005.

The healthcare provider will implement full-functionality of HealthMatics ED at St. Mary's Hospital, Richmond Community Hospital, Memorial Regional Medical Center and St. Francis Medical Center, which is scheduled to open June 2005.

The EDIS will efficiently manage the increasing patient demand for emergency services at its area hospitals. With electronic patient registration and tracking, nurse and physician documentation, and orders/results, HealthMatics ED will enable the hospitals to reduce patients' length of stay and improve quality of care.

In addition, HealthMatics ED will interface with the hospitals' existing technology systems, including its hospital and radiology information system by Siemens Medical Solutions and lab information system by Misys Healthcare Systems.
