Agfa adds to Orbis installs

Agfa HealthCare is currently introducing its Orbis hospital information system (HIS) in the Rangauklinik Ansbach, a medical rehabilitation center, near Nuremberg, Germany.

The Rangauklinik provides 64 beds for rehab patients and 90 for acute cases and is part of the Neuendettelsau Deaconry hospital group. The Neuendettelsau Deaconry Group is a Protestant social welfare organization in Bavaria, with 6,000 employees and 120 care and welfare facilities.

Agfa said the Neuendettelsau Deaconry chose its Orbis HIS to integrate information between the various hospitals and clinics in the organization.
