Algotec signs PACS deal at home and abroad
Algotec Inc. has unveiled a series of announcements advancing its PACS products in the United States and in France.
Mink Radiological Imaging, of Beverly Hills, Calif., has chosen Algotec to provide a full Web-based picture archiving and communications system (PACS) for its imaging center. The contract marks Algotec's 50th system to be installed worldwide this year.
Mink Radiological Imaging plans to open a second location in the near future. The company added that it felt Algotec's open architecture would allow expansion of its existing PACS network to include the second facility and a greater number of users.
Algotec also was selected by GIE/Hopital de Creil in Creil, France, to provide a distributed ImagiNet PACS for onsite and remote image reading at two outpatient clinics. Imaging modalities will connect to Algotec's Medistore central server, while's Creil radiologists will use MediPrime diagnostic reading stations for onsite reading.
Algotec also inked a distribution agreement with Alliance Radiologie and Actibase, a consortium of 250 radiologists and 120 radiology clinics in France. Alliance Radiologie will provide Algotec's ImagiNet PACS and image distribution suite to all Alliance members migrating to digital work environments. Integration with the Actibase RIS also will be available to the consortium's clinics.
