ARRT sets degree requirement for 2015
The board made the decision at its July meeting.
Beginning Jan. 1, 2015, candidates applying for certification must have earned an associate, baccalaureate or graduate degree from an institution accredited by a mechanism acceptable to the ARRT.
The ARRT said that the degree doesn’t have to be in the radiologic sciences and may be earned before entering the radiologic technologist professional education program, after graduation from the program, or be awarded by the program. It must, however, be awarded before an individual can sit for the ARRT examination.
