Avreo scores Mississippi PACS sale

Medical Associates of Vicksburg in Miss., has implemented Avreo interVIEW PACS to support its radiology workflow and image management needs.

Because Medical Associates of Vicksburg does not have on-site radiologists, they identified the need for a PACS to digitally manage CR and CT studies and provide off-site access to radiologists. Without a PACS, the clinic had to send film to radiologists at another location, then pick up the film and manage a film-filing system.

With Avreo's interVIEW PACS, radiologists can log onto the system to review study images and dictate final interpretations The Charleston, S.C.-based Avreo said it developed its interVIEW PACS system from the ground up to encompass PACS, dictation, transcription and report distribution services within a single application.
