California health system upgrades IT with TriZetto?s software

Blue Shield of California has contracted with the TriZetto Group to acquire software for a system-wide technology to improve its data systems associated with claims processing, membership, customer service, sales channels and new product development. 

Blue Shield expects to launch the IT upgrade in 2009.

The Newport Beach, Calif.-based TriZetto will provide a number of software systems, including Facets, Facets Workflow, Facets eXtended Integration, NetworX Modeler, NetworX Pricer, web solutions and ITS Interface software; on-going application management services; and implementation consulting services, according to Blue Shield.
