California hospital adopts Res-Q Healthcares self-scheduling module
Northridge Hospital Medical Center has adopted Res-Q Healthcare Systems’ Self-scheduling Module with its labor resource management system.
The Calabasas, Calif.-based Res-Q said its optional Self-scheduling Module enables staff to view their department’s schedules and then select their own shifts or propose exchanging shifts with colleagues. The company said that registered users sign on with their personal passwords and access a security-controlled console.
Cheryl Witt, manager of nursing operations of Northridge, said “self-scheduling helps us attract and retain nurses by giving them greater control over their schedules.”
Northridge, a 425-bed hospital in Northridge, Calif., has used Res-Q systems since 1999 to manage staffing and scheduling for 1,200 employees.
