Carestream nabs VA install
Carestream Health has secured a multi-million-dollar order with the Veterans Health Administration’s New England region, also known as Veterans Integrated Systems Network (VISN) 1, for its healthcare IT systems.
Carestream said it will provide healthcare IT services, including Kodak Carestream PACS, a regional archive, data migration, network integration, along with three years of image storage capacity at each of the VISN 1’s eight hospitals.
VISN 1 of Bedford, Mass., consists of eight hospitals throughout New England and provides services to more than 237,000 veterans. The VISN 1 medical centers operate 1,895 inpatient beds for acute medical and surgical, mental health, nursing home and domiciliary care, and has more than 2.4 million outpatient visits.
