Carestream nets Virginia ultrasound practice contract
Ultrasound Associates of Alexandria, Va., has purchased Carestream Health’s Kodak Carestream Outpatient Solution, a new turnkey digital imaging and information management package designed for imaging centers.
Carestream said its Outpatient Solution incorporates an integrated Kodak Carestream RIS/PACS with system design and project management services as well as workflow optimization planning. The company also said that its professional services team will perform system design, implementation and project management as well as user training.
Ultrasound Associates provides women’s health services including diagnostic and screening mammography exams, high-risk OB/GYN ultrasound and bone density studies. The sale was initiated by X-Ray Visions of Springfield, Va., a channel partner for Carestream with more than 30 years of service in Virginia, as well as the Baltimore and Washington, D.C., area, according to Carestream.
