Citrus Memorial upgrades HIS with McKesson

Citrus Memorial Health System has chosen to upgrade its hospital information system (HIS) with health IT company McKesson’s Paragon community HIS. As part of the agreement, McKesson will remotely host the HIS.

New for Inverness, Fla.-based hospital will be a computerized physician order entry system (CPOE) that will enable physicians to electronically submit patient orders, according to San Francisco-based McKesson. In addition, Citrus Memorial plans to connect to physicians in its outpatient clinics using McKesson’s Practice Partner ambulatory EHR, McKesson stated.

Paragon HIS integrates critical financial and clinical solutions on a single platform which will assist Citrus to better serve its central Florida community base, according to McKesson.
