Cornell deploys Carestream digital radiography, RIS/PACS

Cornell University’s Gannett Health Services in Ithaca, N.Y., has implemented Carestream Health’s digital radiography system and RIS/PACS.

The systems were sold through Carestream’s authorized dealer, Sywest Medical Technologies.

Carestream said its new Kodak DirectView DR 3500 system captures radiology images in fewer than 10 seconds. The RIS is interfaced to Gannett’s medical information system so the status of radiology exams and reports are available in both. Additionally, patient demographic data and exam order information is downloaded from the RIS, the company said.
