East Texas physician network picks Allscripts EHR

Allscripts has announced that Access Medica has chosen the TouchWorks Electronic Health Record (EHR) to connect physicians in communities across East Texas. The agreement is valued at more than $1.4 million. The Tyler-based Regional Health Information Organization (RHIO) will deploy the system to 29 physicians in six independent clinics during the first phase of a regional deployment, and an additional 50 to 60 physicians in mid-2006.
