Eclipsys clinical manager activated at the University of Texas

Eclipsys Corporation has announced that the University of Texas Harris County Psychiatric Center (HCPC) Houston has recently activated the Sunrise Clinical Manager 3.5 XA which will be used by more than 200 clinicians at the comprehensive psychiatric center, Eclipsys said.
   
Sunrise Clinical Manager is an enterprise-wide clinical information system that provides secure access to patient health records and helps to streamline care as a result. It provides comprehensive electronic health records with sophisticated rules and alert engines which will be beneficial to HCPC in helping its patients with recurring visits. 

Detailed assessment and documentation is part of the everyday work for HCPC clinicians, and according to research 67 percent of them work overtime to complete needed documentation. HCPC has taken on this system to help ease the paperwork burden.
