Eclipsys clinical manager installed at Canadian hospital

Eclipsys Corporation has announced that Calgary Health Region's Rockyview General Hospital, Alberta, Canada, has activated its Sunrise Clinical Manager 3.5 XA advanced clinical software system. The activation was completed in March 2005 after a period of six-weeks, Eclipsys said.

The clinical manager is being used by 1,900 individual users for patient lists and results viewing. Features of the Sunrise Clinical Manager 3.5 XA include providing clinicians with immediate access to patient medical records, lab results and integrated data at the point of service.

By early 2006, activation of the Eclysis computerized physician order entry system is expected to be complete at all three of Calgary Health Region's urban, adult acute care centers, Eclypsis said.
