G2 nets South Wales MediSpeech deployment

Speech recognition technology provider G2 Speech of London has integrated its MediSpeech product with an Agfa HealthCare PACS in the radiology department at the Cardiff and Vale National Health Service Trust.

MediSpeech, a digital dictation, speech recognition, and workflow management system utilizing Philips Medical Systems SpeechMagic speech recognition software, has been deployed at the Cardiff, Wales-based trust since earlier this year, the company reported.

G2 said that in addition to the radiology department, the dental department at the trust has been using the digital dictation capabilities of its MediSpeech product and is in the process of implementing its speech recognition capabilities.
