Halifax Biomedical, Scriptnetics ink software development deal
Medical industry software developer Scriptnetics reported that it has secured a software development contract with Halifax Biomedical to produce a clinical trial quality control application. The product will be used by medical technologists who monitor and measure the effectiveness of orthopedic surgery implants.
The Wilmington, Del.-based Scriptnetics said it will be developing an HL7- and DICOM-compliant application with remote access capabilities for the Halifax, Nova Scotia-based Halifax Biomedical’s Roentgen Stereophotogrametric Analysis (RSA) medical imaging suite.
The RSA product is a stereo medical imaging technique that uses two simultaneous planar x-rays to monitor 3D migrations of total joint replacement. Scriptnetics said it will be supplying a technologist interface, DICOM anonymizing tool, HL7 clinical trial identification tags, and secure remote image transfer.
