Heartlab signs largest hospital system contract in its history
Heartlab Inc. will install its Encompass Cardiac network at eight hospitals within Sisters of Saint Francis Health Services Inc.
Heartlab said the $3 million pact is the company's single-largest deal in its nine-year history.
The eight facilities handle more than 13,000 cardiac catheterizations in 17 current labs and more than 43,000 ultrasound cases annually. There also are six gamma cameras that perform cardiac imaging.
Encompass will support the hospitals' multimodality cardiac image management needs with a centralized network system that will enable the facilities to manage patient data with access to patient images in each institution and throughout the network.
In September alone, Heartlab booked some $8 million in installations. The contracts include Winthrop University Hospital in New York, Medical College of Georgia and the Mayo Foundation Rochester (Minn.) Clinic.
