Hologic to install 17 digital mammo systems in The Netherlands

Hologic has received an order for 17 Selenia digital mammography mobile systems, the first order placed under The Netherlands Breast Cancer Screening Tender.

BoBWest and SBBZWN, Dutch screening organizations located in the southwestern part of the country, placed the order, according to the company.

The Bedford, Mass.-based Hologic said it will start installing the systems this summer.
More than 50 additional digital mammography systems will be installed under the tender over a four-year period, according to the company. Hologic and Tromp Medical, its dealer in the Netherlands, have already 60 Selenia digital mammography systems sold in the country.
